The courses offered at the Academy cover all aspects of human activities and are devised so as to stimulate the physical and mental potential of the cadets supported by an e-Learning Module.
Cadets are selected after higher secondary school i.e. 12 years of education. Duration of training is two years which is divided in 4 terms of 6 months each. The successful cadets are posted to all arms and services on commissioning.
They join Pakistan Military Academy after technical graduation from their respective arms/colleges. They are imparted one year training i.e. for two terms. After successful completion of training at Pakistan Military Academy, they are posted to respective arms, which include Combat Engineers, Signals and Electrical & Mechanical Engineers.
Primarily, this course comprises cadets from Army and Civil Medical Colleges, Army Education Corps, Remount Veterinary & Farms Corps. Graduates with Masters in Telecommunication Engineering enrolled as Information Communication Technology Officers (ICTOs) also form part of integrated course. Duration of training is 6 months.
Ladies holding master degrees in various subjects also join PMA. Duration of their training is six months after which they join static installations of Engineers, Signals, Ordnance, Army Education Corps, Army Service Corps and Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, C4I and other directorates in General Headquarters.
